A well-known person I deeply admire is Rani Lakshmibai, the Queen of Jhansi. She is one of the most iconic figures in Indian history, best known for her bravery during the First War of Independence in 1857.

She became a queen at a young age and demonstrated exceptional leadership when the British attempted to annexe her kingdom. Despite limited resources, she organised an army and fought fearlessly. She even dressed like a soldier and led her troops into battle. Her famous words were, “I will not give my Jhansi.”

What makes her famous is not just her courage but also her sense of justice and patriotism. I admire her because she stood strong against colonial powers and inspired countless others to fight for freedom. She symbolises strength, sacrifice, and women’s empowerment.

Even today, she’s remembered as a national hero in India, and many schools, roads, and awards are named after her.
