IELTS Listening
IELTS Listening
IELTS Listening is a component of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. It assesses the ability of a candidate to understand spoken English in academic and social contexts. The listening test is designed to evaluate the test-taker’s ability to comprehend a range of accents and speech styles that one may encounter in an English-speaking environment.
During the IELTS Listening test, candidates will listen to recordings of conversations, lectures, and monologues. They will then answer a series of multiple-choice questions, fill-in-the-blank questions, and short-answer questions based on the content of the recordings. The listening test takes approximately 30 minutes, and candidates will be given an additional 10 minutes at the end of the test to transfer their answers to the answer sheet.
The IELTS Listening test is an important part of the overall IELTS exam and can significantly impact a candidate’s overall score. Therefore, it is essential to practice and improve one’s listening skills before taking the exam.
